Candy Bar Blondies #LeftoversClub

Do you still have Halloween candy hidden away in your pantry? Now that we’re well into holiday baking season, you’re going to need that space for all the yummy new treats to come. I grabbed the last two open bags of candy and eagerly dumped them into these Candy Bar Blondies. The culprits? Fun-size Snickers and Twix Bars! A basic Blondie Recipe from Food Network served as the base for these Candy Bar Blondies — but basic isn’t fun, so you know I had to trash these babies up with Caramel Bits and crushed up candy!

Are you more of a brownie or blondie lover? I have to say, my heart leans more toward blondies — especially when they’re loaded with brown sugar and lots of sweet-tooth-satisfying sweets. You could use any candy bars   in this recipe, just make sure they’re chopped up. The easiest way to do this is in a food processor. That way you’ll get crumbs, which add great texture to the batter, and perfect-sized chunks of candy to sink your teeth into in every bite.

Leftover candy bars are the perfect ingredient for my #LeftoversClub treats this month! I’m paired up with Elizabeth from Cooking with Milton, one of my longtime Leftovers Club friends. I hope she likes chocolate and caramel, because these Candy Bar Blondies are full of it!

Drool-worthy. These just might make the cut for my neighbor’s holiday cookie baskets this year!
