Celebrate Palm Beach County Restaurants During the Month of September
September is historically the slowest month of the year for restaurants, and tourism in general, in South Florida — but with a little help from two Palm Beach County-specific restaurant months, restaurants are seeing more exposure and support from their local community.
Both Flavor Palm Beach and Downtown Delray Beach Restaurant Month take place September 1-30, featuring special menus and prices you can’t get any other time of year.
Flavor Palm Beach: Palm Beach County’s Oldest and Original Restaurant Month
This will be Flavor Palm Beach’s 16th season! It started in 2007 with only 10 restaurants and has grown to showcase over 50 diverse establishments, all serving multi-course lunch and/or dinner menus priced from $35-$85.
The restaurants that participate in Flavor Palm Beach are the best in the area, from as far south as Boca Raton all the way up to Tequesta. It’s definitely the Crème de la Crème, and this is your chance to try them at unbeatable prices. Wherever you are in Palm Beach County, there’s a handful of nearby spots you’ll easily be able to get to — or jump on the Brightline and travel from Boca to West Palm! Fun fact: there are eleven restaurants within 2 miles of a Brightline station.
There is always a ton of hype leading up to this month-long event. Thanks to the Flavor Palm Beach team, I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at a couple of the menus and a taste of some of the dishes. The branzino at La Masseria Palm Beach Gardens, wild mushroom chow fun at Kapow Noodle Bar, and chargrilled octopus at Galley at Hilton West Palm Beach are all must-haves!
I am looking forward to checking out a few spots on this list that I have never been to, especially restaurants farther north.

8th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Restaurant Month
While Flavor Palm beach includes restaurants all throughout the county, Downtown Delray Beach Restaurant Month is specific to restaurants in Downtown Delray Beach — something this community has plenty of!
This year, there are over 30 restaurants, cafés and fast-casual establishments/eateries participating in the month-long event. Many of the restaurants will offer multi-course menus for lunch and dinner, while others have special promotions or plan culinary experiences. Some of those include a “Dinner from the Movies” pairing event at The Wine Room Kitchen & Bar, a dumpling-making class at Ramen Lab Eatery, and special discounts on Craft Food Tours. Sister restaurants, Brulé Bistro and Rose’s Daughter, will be hosting a ‘Delray Dines for the Dogs’ event benefiting Big Dog Ranch Rescue.
Being a Delray local, many of these restaurants are places I dine at on a regular basis, so many of these dishes I’ve had before — but I’ve got my eye on quite a few of the tasting menus!
