There is no shortage of pizza in Delray Beach. Lucky for us who live a gluten-free lifestyle, there are also plenty of places with GF options!
Navigating the world of gluten-free options when it comes to pizza can be challenging. Thankfully, quite a few restaurants in Delray Beach have made it much easier by offering gluten-free pizza with crispy crusts, delicious toppings, and even vegan cheese for those who are also dairy free.
My Favorite Places for Gluten-Free Pizza in Delray Beach
Most Unique Toppings: Mama’s Up All Nite
25 NE 2nd Avenue
(561) 455-2442
https://mamasupallnite.com/
Mama’s Up All Nite specializes in New York-style pizza, with a recipe that has been passed down from father to son and used since the 1960s. The owner, Bobby, has tons of energy and an apparent love for his craft that he loves to share with others.
Fun fact: It’s the only late-night pizza spot (with delivery too) in the area, open 7 days a week, from 11 am until 3 am.
While Mama’s standard pies (i.e., not gluten free) are either thin crust or Sicilian, the gluten-free crust is super thick and fluffy, like focaccia, which is probably my favorite type of bread.
It’s soft and chewy with pillow pockets on the inside, but the bottom is crisp and sturdy. You can pile on the toppings without worry! The gluten-free crust can be used for any pie available, although it is not available by the slice.
So what makes Mama’s Up All Nite’s pizzeria so unique? The toppings! There are 14 specialty pies available, 3 of which are vegan. Bobby makes a plant-based cheese using a blend of 5 different vegan cheeses. You can order the vegan cheese for pie if that is your style.
The most unique pie on the menu is the Mashed Potato. It’s a white pie with a mix of mozzarella and grated Parmigiana Romano, topped with heaping dollops of potato purée and drizzled with garlic butter.
The potato purée is dairy free. It’s just potatoes and garlic puréed into a super thick and creamy consistency. The flavor is heavy on the garlic and oh-so-delicious.
I had to try this one, so we made a few changes: a mix of plant-based cheese and Bulgarian Sheep’s milk feta with truffle oil instead of garlic butter. (Side note: In case you’re new here, I don’t eat cow’s milk dairy, but I will eat sheep’s and goat’s.) If you like mashed potatoes and you like pizza, this is one combination you must try.
Another unique option is the Bacon & Onion Jam pie with caramelized onion jam, mozzarella, goat cheese, and crisp bacon crumbles. I had this with the plant-based cheese instead of mozzarella. This was my favorite of all the pies I tried. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory!
Bobby takes great care to ensure that his gluten-free customers are well accommodated when they come looking for gluten-free pizza in Delray Beach, especially if you are Celiac. He will swap out the pan and any utensils used, and keep your pizza clear from unsafe ingredients and surfaces.

Best Crust Texture: Windy City Pizza
401 W Atlantic Avenue
(561) 266-2811
https://www.delraywindycitypizza.com/
Windy City Pizza is all about, you guessed it, Chicago-style pies. This family-owned restaurant is known for its Chicago ‘tavern-style thin pies.’ That means thin and crunchy hand-rolled crust, square slices, and the cheese and toppings go all the way to the edge. Windy City also uses Chicago-sourced ingredients whenever possible, so you know you’re getting the real deal.
The gluten-free crust here is a cauliflower crust. Unlike most cauliflower crusts that have cheese and/or egg as a binder, this one does not. Yep — it’s gluten free and vegan!
This little fact had me super pumped to give it a try. The signature crispiness shines through! Seriously, I could hear the crunch with each bite I took. The texture is absolutely on point!
The gluten-free crust can be used for any of the pies at Windy City pizzas. There is also vegan cheese available most of the time. You can customize your pizza with a variety of ingredients, or choose one of their signature Chicago style pizzas.
Options include the Windy City Sausage loaded with cheese and sausage, the Chicago Blaze with thin-sliced Italian roast beef, homemade meatballs, hot Giardiniera, and sport pepper garnish, and the Johnny Hancock with Chicago-style sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, red and green peppers, and black olives.
I tried the Very Veggie with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, sliced tomatoes, chopped onion, fresh garlic and vegan cheese. I loved every single bite, especially the edge pieces!
It’s like a flatbread because of how thin and crispy it is, and because the toppings go right to the edge. There’s not too much of a crust to hold onto — but that’s ok, you won’t be holding onto a slice too long before you’ve devoured the entire piece.

Overall Favorite: Rose’s Daughter
169 NE 2nd Avenue
(561) 271-9423
https://www.rosesdaughterdelray.com/
Rose’s Daughter opened in the Pineapple Grove area of Downtown Delray in 2019, featuring modern Italian cuisine inspired by the owner Suzanne’s family’s trattoria in New York. It’s the sister restaurant to one of Delray’s most beloved spots, Brulé, which opened since 2008, and one of my favorite date night restaurants in Delray Beach.
Rose’s Daughter is known for its scratch-made menu, including pasta, burrata, stracciatella cheese, sauces, sausage, and more. Many of the recipes are from her mother’s original Italian menu.
Chef Suzanne is certified in Neapolitan pizza making and all pies are handcrafted in a rustic pizza oven. It’s no wonder she is serving up some of the absolute best pizza in Delray Beach.
The gluten-free crust at Rose’s Daughter is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and there is a 100% whole-grain crust option too.
The first time I ever bit into one of Chef Suzanne’s gluten-free pizzas, I was in absolute heaven. I got the vegan pie with basil, walnut pesto, cauliflower, shaved Brussels sprouts, tomato confit, roasted baby bells, cippolini onions, and vegan cheese — which you can get on any of the pies too, by the way.
Fresh herbs, major veggie overload, creamy cheese… The whole thing is just bursting with flavor. I am seriously obsessed with this pie. It is my go-to whenever I’m at Rose’s Daughter, but I’ve also gotten the vegan cheese on the Margherita pizza, which is just as delicious.
Some of the other pizzas available include Sausage Pepper & Onion with house sausage, roasted baby bells, cippolini onions, and house mozzarella; the Pineapple Grove Hawaiian with fontina, honey ham, sage olive oil, cipollini, Calabrian chili, and pineapple gastrique; and the Mushroom & Galloni Prosciutto with arugula, mascarpone, truffle oil and aged balsamic.
One of the things I like best about Rose’s Daughter pizza is the size. It’s smaller than your standard-size pie, but a little bigger than a personal-size pie. It’s not something you would get for a big group. It can count as an entrée, but also be shared.
Let’s be real, though. I am rarely willing to share mine.
Best Thin Crust: Delray Pizza
3025 S Federal Hwy
Delray Beach, FL 33483
https://www.delraypizzafl.com/
Delray Pizza is family-owned and operated, specializing in authentic New York and New Jersey-style homemade pizza in Delray Beach. Pizza, wings, salads, sandwiches, calzones, Italian classics, garlic rolls — you name it, brothers Aaron and Josh are making it.
Not only is gluten-free crust available, but they also have a cauliflower crust. Any of the pizzas can be made with these 12-inch alternative crust options.
I tried the Veggie. It has eggplant, roasted red peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, feta, balsamic glaze, and basil. That fresh basil makes all the difference; it is so incredibly fresh and fragrant.
The gluten-free crust is very thin and crispy. It’s more “cracker” than “crust,” but I didn’t mind it. There is some serious crunch going on here, and nice flavor too!
Josh also said I could bring in a package of unopened goat cheese for them to use on the pizza, so I’m eager to try that with the White Onion pie. That one has ricotta cheese, fresh mozzarella, caramelized onion, and everything bagel seasoned crust topped with olive oil, shaved Romano cheese, and basil. I’d swap out the cow’s milk cheeses for the goat cheese and be set!
One of the things I love about this brother duo is their community efforts and collaborations with other local businesses. For example, these guys are responsible for making all of the bread served with the signature chargrilled chicken dishes at FlyBird in Delray Beach.
Additionally, multiple flavors of locally owned and locally made Proper Ice Cream are available at Delray Pizza, including vegan options.
