My Top 6 Picks for Flavor South Florida in South Palm Beach County

flavor south florida, flavor palm beach

Flavor South Florida is back for another month of deliciousness in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast!

This year’s restaurant guide is bigger than ever before. What first started as Flavor Palm Beach with a relatively small list of participants back in 2007 has evolved over the years into the biggest South Florida restaurant month in the region.

This month-long dining event has turned South Florida’s quietest tourism month into a nonstop culinary adventure.

2025 is the most mouthwatering one yet. There are over 100 restaurants serving up special menus from Boca Raton all the way to Sebastian. “It’s such an exciting time of year to see the community come together and support our local restaurants during their slowest month of the year,” Flavor South Florida owner Kerri Paizzi says. “Everyone is offering such great deals and am I so excited to go taste them all!”

Participating restaurants are offering multi-course prix-fixe lunches and dinners that make it easy to taste your way through the local scene without emptying your wallet. Some even sweeten the deal with upgrades and wine pairings. Each restaurant’s Flavor menu is exclusively offered during the month of September.

In addition to all the can’t-be-beat dining deals, select resorts and hotels are also offering incredible rates for locals looking for a little staycation fun during Flavor month. Check out which Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast resorts and hotels are participating in Flavor South Florida.

Flavor South Florida Restaurants in South Palm Beach County

While a lot of the action starts in Central Palm Beach County and travels up the coast, South Palm Beach County is bringing some serious heat this year. We’re talking Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach hotspots and hidden gems. So, grab your appetite and let’s talk about some of my favorite South County spots that are making waves for Flavor South Florida 2025!

Abe & Louie’s – Boca Raton

flavor south florida, flavor menu

If your idea of a perfect night out involves a juicy steak, a glass (or two) of really good wine, and that cozy “special occasion” vibe, Abe & Louie’s is your spot.

A true Boca Raton icon, this upscale restaurant is known for its premium steaks, fresh seafood, and award-winning wine list, which recently earned Wine Spectator’s coveted 2025 Best of Award of Excellence. The atmosphere is pure steakhouse chic with rich wood accents, oversized leather booths, and low-lit sophistication that sets the stage for an intimate, unforgettable dining experience.

For Flavor South Florida, Abe & Louie’s is offering a $45 3-course lunch menu and a $65 3-course dinner menu. Want to up the ante? Add a vodka or gin ‘Tiny Tini’ for just $13. You can also add side dishes at varying prices, such as whipped potatoes, macaroni and cheese, loaded salt baked potato, creamed spinach and roasted mushrooms.

Lunch menu choices for appetizers include New England clam chowder, French onion au gratin, Caesar salad or an iceberg wedge. For the main course, you can choose filet mignon pappardelle, salmon dijonnaise, crab cake sandwich, chicken piccata or summer berry salad, and for dessert, vanilla créme brûlée or double chocolate brownie.

The appetizer and dessert selections for dinner are repeats, but main dish options vary. The salmon dish is the same, plus a filet minus the pasta. There is also rack of lamb, lemon roasted chicken, crab-stuffed local snapper, and double-cut pork chop. Upgrade your main dish with shrimp, lobster, béarnaise, hollandaise, or au poivre for an extra cost.

My pick: I’d go for dinner and get the iceberg wedge (no blue cheese), the filet with a lobster upgrade and add roasted mushrooms, and if I could have dessert…the double chocolate brownie.

Avalon – Delray Beach

Avalon Beach House blends laid-back luxury with breezy coastal charm, channeling the boardwalks, beach bars, and surf shacks of America’s East Coast.

Its recent rebranding to a more casual eatery from a white-tablecloth steakhouse has been a huge success. It’s also become a go-to late-night hotspot. Head to the back of the restaurant and you’ll discover a speakeasy-style lounge pulsing with disco lights and DJ beats until 2 am. Dancing encouraged!

Featuring both indoor and outdoor seating and a spacious bar, this is a great pick for groups and definitely ideal for people-watching. Avalon gives a neighborhood-bar like feel with a laid-back, beach-inspired chic vibe.

For Flavor South Florida, Avalon is offering a $45 3-course dinner menu. The choices for appetizers include whipped ricotta, crab cake croquettes, coconut shrimp or the Avalon Caesar. For the main course, it’s between filet mignon, creamy shrimp fusilli, vodka pasta, crispy chicken piccata, or miso-glazed salmon. Dessert options are the Avalon brownie or key lime pie with homemade whip.

My pick: Unfortunately, none of the appetizer options are Shaina-friendly, but putting restrictions aside, I’d get the crab cake croquettes. My main would be the miso-glazed salmon, and again, putting restrictions aside, my dessert pick would be the key lime pie.

Dada – Delray Beach

Dada has been a Downtown Delray staple for 25 years. It’s located within one of the community’s oldest historic homes, the Tarrimore House, which celebrated its centennial just last year. The home’s vintage charm pairs perfectly with the restaurant’s whimsical, eclectic personality and playful nod to the Dada art movement.

Step inside to discover walls adorned with quirky artwork, an eclectic mix of mismatched furnishings, and a cozy-yet-avant-garde atmosphere. Outside, the energy shifts to a festive, laid-back garden party vibe, with patio seating under glowing strings of lights. It’s a picture-perfect setting for al-fresco dining.

For Flavor South Florida, Dada is offering a $39 3-course dinner menu. There is also an option to substitute with vegan offerings, should that be your dietary preference. The appetizer options include the signature Dada dates, crispy cauliflower, grilled brie for two, or yellowfin tuna tartare. For the main course, choose the pork schnitzel, Sixty South grilled salmon, braised short rib, or the ‘Freebird’ chicken breast. Dessert is between warm banana bread, fried cider doughnuts or the unadulterated double chocolate pecan brownie.

My pick: Dates and braised short rib (sub the mashed potatoes for a different side), and if I could have dessert…the banana bread.

Driftwood – Boynton Beach

Driftwood is a local favorite that you almost want to keep a secret because it’s that unique (and good). The menu focuses on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, reimagining classic dishes with inventive flair and global influences.

The cocktail menu is as memorable as the food, especially if you’re into craft tiki creations. With its relaxed-yet-refined feel, Driftwood is the kind of place where you can meet up with friends for drinks, grab a casual dinner, or celebrate a special occasion.

For Flavor South Florida, Driftwood is offering a $55 3-course dinner, with a $15 wine pairing option. The menu has ample options for gluten free and vegan. Appetizer selections include sweet and sour cauliflower, crispy local okra, smoked local fish dip or Bare Roots Farms harvest salad. For the main course, choose between roast cabbage red curry, chicken ‘n dumplings, rigatoni bolognese, local fish of the day, or shrimp ‘n grits. Dessert options are an ice cream sandwich or warm cornbread.

My pick: Sweet and sour cauliflower, roast cabbage red curry, and if I could have dessert, the ice cream sandwich. I’d also definitely add the wine pairings!

Mia Rosebud – Boca Raton

Mia Rosebud brings a piece of Chicago’s legendary Rosebud Restaurant Group magic to South Florida. The restaurant is an ‘Italian steakhouse’ serving classic dishes you know and love.

Located in Downtown Boca, this expansive restaurant features an open kitchen, a chic interior with plush seating, and an inviting outdoor terrace. It’s perfect for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings.

For Flavor South Florida, Mia Rosebud is offering a $59 3-course dinner. For the appetizers, choose from filet carpaccio, gorgonzola salad, or Italian sausage-stuffed peppers. Main course options include vitello alla milanese, pollo marsala, cavatelli rapini, and branzino francese. Dessert is a traditional toss-up between tiramisu, the signature Rosebud cheesecake, or homemade gelato and sorbet.

My pick: Carpaccio, pollo marsala, and raspberry sorbet.

Wine & Spirits Kitchen – Boca Raton

Somewhere between a steakhouse, a wine and cheese bar and a speakeasy, lies Wine & Spirits Kitchen. There are over 170 wines available on tap, as well as 16 spirits, on an Enomatic wine dispensing system. Not only can you find premium cuts and fresh seafood on the menu, but the curated selection of cheese and charcuterie from a Maitre Fromager and James Beard award winner is next level.

The backroom, Racliffe’s Speakeasy & Supper Club, feels like you’ve stepped back into the Prohibition Era. Live music, very creative cocktails, and a New Orleans-inspired menu round out the experience.

For Flavor South Florida, Wine & Spirits Kitchen is offering a 3-course dinner menu Sunday through Thursday starting at 5pm. Every entree purchased will come with a complimentary $15 wine card to use for the wines available on tap. The price is either $45, $55, or $65 depending on the main course chosen.

Options for a starter include lobster bisque, wedge salad, Caesar salad, chop chop salad, soup of the day, escargot, roasted garlic hummus, confit chicken lollies, or a curated cheese & charcuterie flight. For the $45 mains, choose between mac and cheese, Faroe Island salmon, mushroom orecchiette pasta, or coq au vin. The $55 options include pork chop, BBQ-roasted black cod, or prime Denver steak. The $65 options include crab-crusted snapper or a surf & turf with filet and Maine lobster. Dessert is Chef’s Parisian-style beignets.

My pick: Chop Chop salad, roasted black cod, and well, I wish I really could have those beignets!
