20 Years of Food and Wine in Support of the Boca Raton Historical Society
Boca Bacchanal is back, celebrating 20 years of fine wine, food and fundraising in support of the Boca Raton Historical Society and The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum’s mission to collect, preserve and share the rich history of the beloved city of Boca Raton.
What started in 2003 has become one of the area’s top events, bringing together over 2,000 food-and-wine-loving guests, top restaurants and world-class chefs and vintners, all to support an amazing local institution.
Boca Bacchanal Event Weekend: Vintner Dinners, April 28th and 29th
Boca Bacchanal is comprised of three events. The kickoff reception, Bacchus Beckons, serves as the official announcement for the Bacchanal chef and vintner pairings and Vintner Dinners locations. This took place on March 8th, to drum up the local anticipation for this can’t-miss event of the year.
Bacchanal weekend will start off with two nights of Vintner Dinners on Friday and Saturday nights, April 28th and 29th. Although I have never been to one of the Vintner Dinners, I still admire how exclusive and special they are from afar. These intimate, 5-course VIP wine-pairing dining experiences are hosted in beautiful private homes and historic venues in Boca Raton, with internationally acclaimed chefs and vintners providing the perfect pairings.

Boca Bacchanal Event Weekend: The Grand Tasting, April 30th
This is the Bacchanal event that everyone knows and loves: the Grand Tasting — an event I have been attending since I moved here. This will be the 10th Grand Tasting event I will have been to! This year’s festivities will take place on Sunday afternoon, April 30th, from 1-4pm at award-winning wedding and event venue, The Addison. This historic building was designed by Addison Mizner, and is one of the most iconic examples of architecture in the area.
The Grand Tasting will feature generous samples from celebrated local chefs and restaurants, an incredible selection of wine, champagne, craft beer and spirits tastings, a silent auction, and educational seminars. This year’s event also offers a special VIP ticket that includes a private area with a select spirits, wine bar and tastings.
General Admission: $125
General Admission + Wine or Whiskey Seminar: $160
VIP + Wine or Whiskey Seminar: $285

I always look forward to the Grand Tasting, but I am even more excited about it this year because it is at The Addison, which is just the most perfect place for any event. I hope to see you there!
