Start off your morning right with a healthy breakfast that tastes like dessert — Chocolate-Covered Raspberry Smoothie!
So who stuck to their New Year’s Resolutions through the entire month of January?! It so often seems that people start out the year super gung-ho about getting their health on track — changing their eating habits, joining a gym, trying a new work out routine, etc. — and then once February rolls around, they totally fall off. That’s the main reason why I hate New Year’s Resolutions. Just make approachable and attainable goals instead of one all-out resolution that you may or may not stick to.
One way to stick to a healthy-eating goal is by starting your day with a fruit-filled smoothie bursting with bright flavors and lots of nutrients — bonus points if it tastes like dessert but totally doesn’t have all the calories and fat!
Enter the Chocolate-Covered Raspberry Smoothie — a thick, delicious smoothie filled with Driscoll’s raspberries, frozen banana for added texture, cinnamon for a metabolism kick, and a generous scoop of your favorite chocolate protein! Raspberries are super waist-friendly — they are low in calories and fat, cholesterol-free, high in fiber and full of vitamin C. Raspberries are good for your heart too — they are a rich source of the flavonoid quercetin and gallic acid which help prevent cardiovascular diseases, obesity and age-related decline. There is even research that suggests these beautiful little berries may prevent cancer by inhibiting the abnormal division of cells and promoting the normal death of healthy cells.
Sticking to your goals is easy when you can have breakfast that feels decadent but is super beneficial to your health and well-being.
Smoothies are my favorite breakfast, especially after a good workout. I turn to this Chocolate-Covered Raspberry Smoothie after I’ve finished working out and crave something sweet but don’t want to negate all of the hard work I did out on the gym floor. Don’t throw away your hard work either! Keep up with your healthy goals all year long by making delicious smoothies like this Chocolate-Covered Raspberry Smoothie and you’ll be a happy camper.
