Have you seen the abundance of fall-flavored candy lining the aisles of supermarkets lately? Target’s baking section is seriously dangerous. And don’t even get me started on Trader Joe’s — it’s like pumpkin palooza in that store!
In a moment of Target weakness, I filled my shopping cart with all kinds of wonderful ingredients for baking. Looking back, I wish I had also picked up the Pumpkin Spice Oreos… I spent a few minutes gazing at them on the shelf but ultimately decided against it. I heard they are really good, and now I might just need to go back for them…
Let’s talk M&Ms. Pumpkin Spice and White Chocolate Candy Corn! M&Ms does a great job of getting out seasonal flavors all through the year — they never miss a mark! The Pumpkin Spice M&Ms don’t really taste like I thought they would. They’re kind of chocolately, kind of spicy and kind of bland all at the same time. I need to figure out a way to use them to really accentuate the pumpkin spice flavor and hopefully I’ll like them better. The White Chocolate Candy Corn? AMAZING. My mind is going crazy thinking of all the fun baked goodies I can make with these!
Nestlé Tollhouse jumped onto the pumpkin bandwagon in a real serious way. Little chocolate morsels filled with cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Oh my god. Who comes up with this stuff?! These are totally going into some pumpkin bread, or maybe even a pumpkin cheesecake…
I also picked up some Pumpkin Butter from Trader Joe’s and am dying to make these cookies my friend Dianna from The Kitchen Prep made a couple weeks back. We both just got a TJ’s in each of our South Florida towns and are super excited for all the new yumminess about to fill up our kitchen.
