Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to attend The Addison’s Halloween event. No monetary compensation has been received for this post. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
It’s baaaaaack… The ghouls, goblins and ghosts are getting ready for a scream-tastic night out at The Addison this Halloween on Tuesday, October 31st. The Five Star Diamond Award-winning event venue and historical landmark is proud to announce that its A Horror Story-themed party is going to be better than ever.
After The Addison’s incredible Fright Night Halloween event last year, I will never spend this holiday anywhere else. Real actors dressed in the most intricate and detailed costumes emulating some of the spookiest characters, like Walking Dead-inspired zombies, the twins from The Shining, and my favorite — or rather, least favorite — the Chucky doll. I’ve got to give props to the particular actor who posed as Chucky last year; he figured out right away how scared I was of him and continued to pop up near me for the rest of the night. He found me at the end of night, once he was in his regular clothing, and we had a good laugh about it — but, I was legitimately scared of him all night!
When it comes to putting on an impressive event, The Addison sure knows what they’re doing For their signature Halloween party, the venue partners with the Slow Burn Theater Company at the Broward County of Performing Arts Center to put on a show-stopping, make-your-heart-jump-out-of-its-chest event. The decorations, costumes, and entertainment are worthy of Broadway in New York City.
Even guests go all out with their costumes. This is not the place to go in a white sheet and call yourself a ghost… I dressed up as a bottle of champagne (and you can bet I was poppin’ bottles of bubbly all night) and saw some great costumes from others. Still debating what I’ll go as this year…
For Halloween enthusiasts, The Addison is the place to be.
