Rapoport’s Restaurant Group Launches New Doggy Dining Menus to Support Charity
The Rapoport’s Restaurant Group now offers special pet-friendly menus at each of its three restaurant locations: Burt & Max’s, Deck 84 and Max’s Grille. Each menu features chef-prepared dishes, and 20% of the proceeds from the sales of any of these items will be donated to Vets Helping Heroes, a local charity that provides service dogs for active-duty military and retired veterans in need. This charitable partnership will be in effect through December 31, 2021.
Outdoor Dining at Burt & Max’s, Deck 84 and Max’s Grille
With the crazy hot South Florida summer months (almost) behind us, it’s finally starting to feel nice enough to sit outside when eating out. Luckily, Rapoport’s restaurants all have plenty of outdoor dining space for doing that. One of the perks of a restaurant having a spacious outdoor area is that people can include their furry friends in their dining excursions! While restaurants will often offer water bowls to your pets, and some places may even have dog treats, the RRG team has gone above and beyond. Max’s Grille in Mizner Park has offered its doggy dining menu, nicknamed “Mizner Bark Café,” for years, and now Burt & Max’s and Deck 84 are doing the same.
Not only will you have a delicious outdoor dining experience, but your pups will too — and it’s all in support of a great cause! Here’s what you can expect from the doggie diner menus:
- Max’s Grille: steamed rice, carrots and green beans with a choice of ground beef steak or grilled chicken breast, or steam pasta with carrots and green beans.
- Burt & Max’s: steamed rice, carrots and green beans with a choice of chopped steak, grilled chicken breast or grilled salmon. There is also a 2mg CBD Doggie Biscuit available, made by local pet store, Bark Avenue.
- Deck 84: brown rice, veggies and Greek yogurt with a choice of a beef patty, chicken breast or salmon.
Proper Puppy Etiquette Required
Of course, customer service and guest experience is always the top priority for each of the RRG restaurants, so it’s important to make sure that your furbabies are on their best behavior while dining out. If your dog isn’t well-behaved around other people, especially children and other animals, it’s probably not a good idea to bring them with you.
Additionally, excessive barking is not tolerated, and your four-legged friends must always be kept on a leash…but don’t tie that leash to the table! If the dog is strong enough to move it, it could result in spilled drinks or food, and just cause a big mess. Keep your pets close to the table so they aren’t in the servers’ path, and do not allow them on the tables or chairs. Remember that pets are not permitted to eat or drink out of any restaurant glasses, plateware or utensils apart from what their meal is served in or if your server brings over a water bowl. You are welcome to bring your own doggie bowl(s), if you prefer your pups eat/drink out of that instead.
