Remembering Sandy Hook Elementary

I want to take a moment of silence to honor and remember all of the young children that fell victim to Friday’s tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. As I was sitting at my desk on Friday afternoon, I could barely hold back tears when I found out what happened. My heart goes out to all of the families affected by this. It is a reminder to never take anything for granted, to live each day to its absolute fullest, and to never let your family and friends go a second without knowing how much you love them. To the 20 children and 6 adults whose lives were lost, rest in peace and know that you are in a safe place now. To the teacher, Victoria Soto, and all of the adults who died fighting to save the lives of others, you are heros in everyone’s eyes.
My last post for ‘Eight Nights of Hanukkah’ baking will be up tomorrow — stay tuned for a really delicious treat you can make for yourself and give as a gift!
