You don’t want to miss this amazing Boca Raton attraction now on display at the Boca Raton Museum of Art through October 12, 2025.

Glasstress Boca Raton 2025 is part of a popular series that brings internationally renowned artists, many of whom have never worked with glass before, to the Berengo Studio in Murano, Italy, to collaborate with master glassmakers. Murano, an island in Venice, is renowned for its long tradition of glass-making.
This is my favorite exhibit at the Museum. Gorgeous colors, unique shapes and details, delicate intricacies of the glass. It’s a treat to have such a cool exhibit come to South Florida! There are over 20 innovative pieces of artwork on display, all by globally celebrated artists. This is a must-see Boca Raton attraction for all.

With this year being the City’s Centennial, it’s no wonder there are a lot of great events in Boca Raton going on. This is the Museum’s third iteration of Glasstress, and it is just one of many unique ways to celebrate the wonderful City of Boca Raton and what it has to offer its locals and visitors.
Here’s a little bit more insight into this incredibly unique display of art: The Glasstress project was launched in 2009 as a collateral event at the Venice Biennale, an international cultural exhibition hosted annually in Venice. Glasstress brings contemporary artists from around the globe to collaborate with its master glassmakers, many of whom are exploring glass as a medium for the first time. By blending centuries-old techniques with contemporary artistic visions, the project highlights the enduring prestige of glass as a fine art and integrates Murano’s rich traditions into the modern art world.
This particular iteration also shares a little local love. The Museum commissioned Florida artist, Joe Alvarez (D.O.P.A.), to create his first work in glass with Berengo’s glass experts. Created especially for this exhibition, it’s titled Echoes of Silence in the Galactic Garden. It’s a beautiful display of color and pattern. What a bright, bold way to add a Florida touch!
There will be a guided spotlight tour of Glasstress Boca Raton 2025 on May 22nd from 5:30-7 pm, led by expert art historian, Armando Droulers. Tickets are $20 for Museum members and $35 for non-members. Click here to register for this private tour of the exhibit.
While a guided tour is an amazing way to learn more about the artists, the inspiration, and processes behind each piece of work, you can also check out Glasstress Boca Raton 2025 on your own anytime. Tickets are available here.

This past January, the Boca Raton Museum of Art celebrated its 75th season as a cultural landmark for art in Boca Raton. It’s located next to the Mizner Park Amphitheater, very close to a variety of shops and restaurants, and only a short walk from the Brightline Boca.
It’s been a season of impressive and interactive events, starting with the Splendor and Passion exhibit, which ended in March. There has also been a series of music nights, film screenings, lectures, sip and shops, and even yoga classes. If you’re looking for things to do in Boca Raton for adults, the Museum has quite a calendar! There are also family-friendly art activities on the weekends.
Members always receive free or reduced admission to all of these events, and always free admission into the exhibits. There are many other members-only perks too. Visit the website to learn more about the Boca Raton Museum of Art membership.
These are all fun things to do in Boca, and an opportunity to engage with the Museum and its exhibits. Attendees can learn more about artists and their process and be entertained in a beautiful setting in Boca Raton.
