Miami Spice deals are available throughout the entire months of August and September. This is your chance to try out the best food in Miami at incredible prices!
Hundreds of restaurants are participating in Miami Spice Restaurant Months this year, MICHELIN guide-rated places included! Restaurants offer three-course meals for just $30/$35 for lunch/brunch and $45/$60 for dinner.
Miami Spice is part of the Miami Temptations Program, an initiative by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB). The GMCBV is the official, accredited destination sales and marketing organization for Greater Miami and Miami Beach. Its mission is to generate travel demand to Greater Miami and Miami Beach, to maximize economic impact to our community, ensure industry resiliency, and elevate the resident quality of life.
This Miami restaurant month started in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks, as the tourism industry became greatly affected. The Miami Spice restaurant list started with only 54 participants, and now features nearly 300 venues!
Unless you have a specific Miami restaurant in mind that you want to visit, it can be a little overwhelming trying to decide where to go. Luckily, you can easily navigate through the Miami Spice website, filtering your search by neighborhood, day of the week, meals, type of cuisine, and whether it is Michelin-rated. You can get even more specific categorizing by dietary restrictions, accessibility, sustainability practices, and ownership (i.e., female, ethnic minority, LGBTQ+, veteran, or person with disabilities).
As a bonus, Miami Spa Month is still going on throughout August. So you can get double the deals if you visit during that time. Miami Spice deals for lunch and dinner and spa discounts? This is clearly the best time of year to visit Miami.
Delicious Miami Spice Deals to Check Out
I had the opportunity to check out several of the best Miami Spice deals. It was super easy to get to Miami with the Brightline Boca! I’m still full just thinking about all of those incredible experiences. (Full disclosure: some of the restaurants I went to were not completely able to accommodate my restrictions for all of the courses, so other substitutions were made. I will only be sharing about the Miami Spice options here.)
If you have allergies or intolerances, I highly recommend calling each restaurant ahead of time to ask if they can accommodate you. It can sometimes be hard with prix-fixe menus, so please be reasonable and keep that in mind.
Let’s take a look at some of the Miami Spice restaurants available:
1. COTE Miami is a MICHELIN-starred and James Beard Award-nominated Korean steakhouse in the Miami Design District. The flagship location is in New York City, and there are also locations in Las Vegas and Singapore. Fun fact: The COTE brand is one of the only two restaurants in the US with MICHELIN stars in multiple cities.
There are smokeless tabletop grills at every table, where various cuts of meat will be cooked by the COTE team right in front of you, and served at just the right temperature. The restaurant is super chic, and each table is designed to give guests an intimate and interactive experience. I just loved the vibe there, and cannot wait to go back again!
For Miami Spice Restaurant Months, COTE Korean Steakhouse is offering a 3-course lunch for $35, available Monday through Friday. View the menu.
COTE is also well known for its award-winning wine list, so select red or white wines from the Sommelier’s Spice Collection are available to add to your meal for an upcharge. There is a featured cocktail available as well.
All of the meat was delicious, but my favorite was the Dol-Sot Bibimbop. This is a classic Korean rice dish made with mountain vegetables, a soft-poached egg, and gochujang. It’s served in sizzling earthenware that crisps up the rice to the most perfect texture.
2. Essensia Restaurant & Bar is located at The Palms Hotel & Spa, an award-winning sustainable wellness resort in Miami Beach. The hotel aims to give its guests a “memorable experience of total well-being, inspired by nature.” It is a Green Globe-certified property, which means it has received the endorsement of one of the global leaders in Sustainable Tourism Certification for all areas of sustainability. Kudos to being one of the planet’s most sustainable hotels!
Going along with this environmentally conscious theme, Essensia is a farm-to-table restaurant with a focus on local and sustainable sourcing. The cuisine is inspired by Mediterranean and Asian influences, prepared with health in mind. There is an organic garden on the property, and the tropical decor makes you feel like you’re in paradise, especially knowing that the beach is only footsteps away.
In addition to the sustainable restaurant at the hotel, there is also an AVEDA spa that is offering specials for Miami Spa Month.
For Miami Spice Restaurant Months, Essensia is offering a 3-course lunch for $35, available Monday through Saturday, and a 3-course dinner for $60, available daily. View the menus.
My favorite was the mushroom ceviche, offered for dinner. It features locally sourced blue oyster mushrooms from Gratitude Garden Farm. This is a vegan and gluten-free dish with coconut leche de tigre, Fresno pepper, avocado mousse, purple sweet potato, red onion, and micro cilantro. It’s served with my favorite type of chip: plantains!
3. Matador Room is the signature restaurant of the Miami Beach EDITION, a chic and modern resort with a tropical oasis-like atmosphere. The hotel’s luxury spa is also participating in Miami Spa Month.
Matador Room was developed by Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and features a 1940s supper-club-like atmosphere inside. The outdoor patio dining, however, has more of a boho-chic vibe with beautiful floral decor and comfortable booth seating. The menu is inspired by the flavors of South America, the Caribbean, and Spain.
For Miami Spice Restaurant Months, Matador Room is offering a 3-course brunch for $35, available Saturday and Sunday, and a 3-course dinner for $60, available daily. View the menus.
Gluten-free bread is available, so I was able to enjoy the avocado toast during brunch. Pro-tip: Add bottomless mimosas to your experience and ask for a flight of all three flavors: orange, grapefruit, and passion fruit. The homemade passion fruit syrup is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy!
4. Acclaimed Italian restaurant, Il Mulino New York, is located at Acqualina Resort in Sunny Isles Beach. This elegant beachfront property is the perfect home for a restaurant as chic and sophisticated as Il Mulino. Its white-tablecloth service is met with fine Italian wines and pristine service from a knowledgeable staff. All guests get tableside cheese and bread service — and yes, gluten-free bread is available!
Il Mulino New York at Acqualina Resort has been awarded the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Award, and honored as the #1 Italian restaurant in the NYC Zagat Survey for 20 years!
For Miami Spice Restaurant Months, Il Mulino is offering a 3-course lunch for $35 and a 3-course dinner for $60, both available daily. View the menus.
I was thrilled to hear that gluten-free pasta was available, so I could also try the linguine al pomodoro with fresh tomato and basil. The flavors were so bright and fresh. I have to say though…my favorite bite of the night was the gluten-free garlic bread brought out for me during bread service.
5. The Strand is a contemporary Mediterranean restaurant at the Carillon Miami, Florida’s most comprehensive spa and wellness resort on a 750-foot stretch of private beach. The Carillon is known for its luxurious spa with an incredibly vast menu of services, many of which are available for a discount during Miami Spa Month.
The Strand’s menu features locally sourced ingredients with a spotlight on Florida’s organic community. The restaurant is footsteps from the beach with spacious indoor dining and outdoor space with scenic ocean views. Don’t miss out on the cocktails here. The drink list is super innovative!
For Miami Spice Restaurant Months, The Strand is offering a 3-course lunch for $35, available Monday through Friday, and a 3-course dinner for $60, available Wednesday through Sunday. View the menus.
Executive Chef Christopher Robertson puts his unique spin on the dishes for the Miami Spice menus. The feta saganaki is inspired by the traditional Greek dish that is typically brûléed tableside. Instead, he plates the feta cheese beautifully alongside an assortment of ingredients. He also gets creative with his shrimp and grits, utilizing corn in a variety of ways.
6. Boulud Sud is a Mediterranean restaurant by Michelin-star Chef Daniel Boulud, who is arguably one of America’s most successful and famed culinary authorities. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Daniel during the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival a while back, and he is genuinely one of the nicest people. It makes me all that more eager to visit and support his restaurants!
The restaurant is located inside the JW Marriott Marquis in Downtown Miami, which just recently went through a large renovation. The menu is inspired by flavors from the Côte d’Azur, Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Turkey and beyond. There’s a chic bar and lounge, a beautiful main dining room, an outdoor terrace, and intimate private dining spaces.
For Miami Spice Restaurant Months, Boulud Sud is offering a 3-course lunch for $35, available Monday through Friday; and a 3-course dinner for $60, available daily. View the menus.
I absolutely loved the flavors in the fattoush salad offered during lunch. The lemon-sumac vinaigrette really brought that Mediterranean flare. It has kale and romaine, tomato, cucumber, radish, feta, mint, scallion, and pita chips — however, it was no issue to leave the pita off the salad. Boulud Sud also has a killer espresso martini, just saying…
