The Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Resort & Spa might just become your next hotel obsession. With stunning ocean views and spacious accommodations that feel like your own beachfront apartment, it’s the kind of place where relaxing, recharging, and having fun all come naturally.

Even better, you’re just a short drive from top Palm Beach County attractions like CityPlace, Norton Museum of Art, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Worth Avenue, John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, Palm Beach Zoo, and more!

This beachfront Marriott is located on Singer Island, a little slice of Florida paradise just east of West Palm Beach. Think soft white sand beaches, sparkling Atlantic waters, and an easygoing coastal vibe. It’s peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to all the shopping, dining, and nightlife downtown. It’s truly the best of both worlds.

With group-friendly suite accommodations, this resort is ideal for group trips and weekend getaways in Florida for families. I recently helped organize a girls’ weekend here with Florida-based aperitif company, Munyon’s Paw-Paw, which you can find on the menu at both on-site restaurants, Lagoon Cantina and ONA Coastal Cuisine.

I was introduced to this liqueur last year and immediately fell in love — not only with the light, refreshing flavor, but also the history. Munyon’s Paw Paw is a low-proof, all-natural aperitif distilled in Florida. This aperitif pays homage to Dr. James Munyon and his original Munyon’s Paw-Paw formulation, dating back to 1903. To learn the full story, visit the website or listen to my podcast episode featuring co-founders Joe Colucci and Paul Massey.

The Munyon’s crew and I brainstormed the best weekend getaway ideas in Florida, and this resort checked every box. Our group of ten ladies stayed in newly renovated two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos complete with a full kitchen, living room, and private balconies with breathtaking views.

As South Floridians on a staycation, it really made us appreciate how special it is to live here. I have to say, I am very lucky to be part of a group of women who love meeting up for weekend trips!

Whether it’s a work trip, a family escape, or a friends’ weekend, the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island has everything you need for an effortless and unforgettable weekend getaway in Florida.

How to Make Your Weekend Getaway Ideas in Florida Come to Life

One of my favorite things about the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island is that there’s truly an option for every vibe.

Want peace and quiet? The serene adults-only pool is calling. Traveling with friends or family? The lively pool area features a water slide, waterfall, and grotto. Plus, it’s right next to Lagoon Cantina, so you can order food and drinks straight to your chair.

Craving the sand between your toes? There’s private beach access where you can lounge all day and order cocktails from Reef Tiki Bar. However you like to vacation, this resort has you covered.

If a spa day is on your list of weekend getaway ideas in Florida, SiSpa is a must. The menu includes massages, facials, and body treatments. The tranquil lounge is available before your appointment, perfect for sipping a refreshing drink and fully unwinding before your service.

Now for the food, because you know that matters. The Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island is home to two standout dining spots. For an elevated sit-down experience, visit ONA Coastal Cuisine. This restaurant opened in May 2024 and offers contemporary Mediterranean-inspired dishes using fresh local ingredients. Don’t skip happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 pm, and be sure to order the Munyon’s Paw-Paw Palm Beach Spritz made with Prosecco and grapefruit soda.

ONA is also where you’ll find the daily breakfast buffet, featuring all the classic morning favorites plus a standout create-your-own omelet station. Breakfast with this ocean view just hits differently.

For a more casual, toes-in-the-sand vibe, Lagoon Cantina is the move. Think tropical drinks, sunshine, and serious island energy. The fish dip with crisp plantain chips was a personal favorite, and the menu is packed with poolside classics like salads, burgers, and fried finger foods. Munyon’s Paw-Paw cocktails are available here, too. While I love the Palm Beach Spritz, the Florida Smoke Show with mezcal, lime juice, and agave definitely deserves a shoutout.

weekend vacations, great weekend getaway

If you’re in the mood to dine off property, head a little over a mile down the road to Sailfish Marina. This location makes me feel like I’m in the Florida Keys. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this Singer Island staple is known for locally caught Florida seafood and a massive menu that’s perfect for sharing with a group. And yes, you guessed it, Munyon’s Paw-Paw makes another appearance here. Check Sailfish Marina’s social media to find out about any specials and times for live music!
